..we urge you not to receive God's grace in vain." | 2 Corinthians 6:1
God's grace is available to us as believers. He freely gives it and desires for us to grab hold of it. To grab hold of something is to grasp or hold on to it–a physical act. Here too, we must seize and hold firmly to God's grace in the physical sense by the way we think, speak, and act. This is often easy enough to do when things are going well in our life.
But what about when we are going through a struggle or a difficult time? In those instances, are we allowing the truth of God's grace, and His love for us, to not only be something we know but also something we live out? Because when we live His grace out in our lives, we are stronger by His strength, we give witness to His power, and the enemy loses a little more ground. This can be so hard to do when we're feeling defeated, lost, and hurt, but how we act in these situations will reflect what we believe and give glory to His name.
Whatever life situation you find yourself in right now, be assured that God sees and knows what you are going through, and He cares (1 Peter 5:7). His grace is available to you and able to cover any shortcomings, fill in any gaps, and surround you with His love. Grab hold of His grace with your whole being. For He has never and will never let go of you.
