...even when He is hard to find!

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace"

Isaiah 55:8-12

Sometimes when we look around, it is very clear that God is working. We see kindness, feel hope, see joy in other’s lives. But other times, when we look for Him, He seems hard to find. This verse reminds me that no matter what we see or feel, God is always about His work. When the word is active in our hearts and when we speak the word to those around, we can believe that God is using that in ways we couldn’t ever imagine. When He sends His word out in and through us, it does what He sent it to do. Trust in God—He will have his way!
